The Big Meat is on the move! We’ve secured a bigger, nearby location and although we are sad to be leaving Elm Nursery this will help us bring a better experience to you as a guest. Thanks to Elm Nursery for all their support over the last twelve months.
We will now be hosting The Big Meat on land owned by Pierrepoint Farm near Farnham, Surrey. Pierrepoint Farm is a dairy farm owned by the Countryside Restoration Trust and has a herd of pedigree Jersey cows grazing free range and you’ll be able to buy raw milk on site over the weekend. On top of this it is also home to Frensham Brewery which we hope to have along with their great award winning ales.
The area we are using borders the Rural Life Centre and Old Kiln Light Railway on one side and surrounded on the others by Bourne Woods which was the filming location for the opening battle scene of Gladiator allowing great walking for any four legged friends that you are bringing along.
We hope this venue change will not effect you in any way but if it is a problem, and you’ve already bought a ticket, then please drop us a line and we’ll get a refund arranged.
The address for the new site is –
The Reeds Road
Do not follow signs for Pierrepoint Farm, instead follow the brown signs for the Rural Life Centre and you will see our signs on the road directing you to our entrance.
If you are travelling by public transport then you can get to Farnham railway station direct from Waterloo. Then it’s roughly a three mile journey to the site.
Thank you for your ongoing support and we can’t wait to see you next month!
